Indian cricket legendary Sachin Tendulkar
led the list of sports persons celebrating Gandhi Jayanti across the country on
Monday by uploading a video where he can be seen cleaning streets in Mumbai
along with a few other volunteers.
Underling
the ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign that aims at a cleaner India, Sachin Tendulkar
could be seen picking up garbage wearing gloves with a ticker on the video that
urged citizens to undertake similar responsibility.
The vision of a cleaner India
was first put forward by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the Father of the nation
whose birthday is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti every year.
