NEW DELHI: Requesting ‘prominent voices’ on social media to promote voter registration in the country, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday used his Twitter handle, @narendramodi, to send out tweets to many actors, politicians and sportsmen.
One such tweet sent to cricketer Sachin Tendulkar read, “Dear @sachin_rt lets encourage voter registration among 18-24 yr olds. Large number of them are unregistered. EC drive presently underway.
Modi also tweeted, “Studies point to several eligible voters who are yet unregistered. Are you one of them? Now is the time to get registered ASAP!
