Murthy : says he is going to learn from iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
Narayana Murthy, who is set to take the saddle for what he terms a “second
innings” at the company he founded over three decades ago, says he is going to
learn from iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
“Like most Indians, Sachin is my hero. He is all the more a hero because he
has done a great job during what some would describe as his later innings —
between the age of 35 and 40.” Mr. Murthy explained that most cricketers
retired at 35, but Tendulkar stuck on and has continued to perform well past
what people thought was his prime. “He is doing a great job of it and I want to
learn from him to understand how he does it and continues to do it. After all,
he is my hero,” he told reporters…
